Well, Valentine’s Day is right around the corner. That means dinner dates, suits and stilettos, cuddles and whispered nothings; basically, it is the happiest day of the year for Cupid! Now, I’m not a true romantic; I’d probably spend whatever is salvaged of the day with my family, meet a couple of girlfriends for a bridal fitting, and catch a movie or a bite to eat with the S.O. Hence, gifting is out of the question for me. But I know that some of you out there are frantically searching for the perfect gift for him/her.
Looks like the D.I.Y bug is here to stay a while, and I intend to exploit it. Bring out the glue guns! I love books, and what better way to proclaim my love than by adorning them with some handmade bookmarks! They’re super easy to make, and some of them look quite pretty! All you need is some thick paper, a pair of scissors, a dollop of glue and your imagination.
Recently, I found myself with a lot of free time on my hands. This sudden availability of schedule-free days resulted in 11 a.m mornings and a non-existent social life! On the plus side, however, I now had time to indulge in ‘projects’.
A few months ago, my family took a trip to Delhi and Agra to physically see the place where my Dad was posted. You see, he’s a bank employee, and those buggers just love tossing people around to every state this country has. Anyway, we decided to visit the Agra fort. Beautiful architecture! I think everyone needs to witness this monument and be awed by its sheer size and design.
